Xinjiang Bole City’s 450,000 acres of cotton are fully grown
As the temperature gradually warms up, Bole City, Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, seizes the favorable opportunity of rising temperatures and good soil moisture to sow cotton, and the fields are busy. At present, 450,000 acres of cotton in Bole City are fully planted, and it is expected that all planting will be completed in mid-to-late April.
In order to speed up the progress of cotton sowing and guide farmers to scientifically carry out spring plowing production, the Bole City Agricultural Technology Extension Center organized professional and technical personnel to go deep into the fields to provide full technical guidance and achieve refined and mechanized sowing. It is understood that since last year, in order to improve the quality and efficiency of cotton production, the local area has vigorously promoted the “wide, early and excellent” three-row planting model. “Kuanzaoyou” is to plant one row of cotton every 76 centimeters, usually three rows per unit of film with a width of 2.05 meters. The traditional “dwarf, dense and early” model is to plant six rows. The advantages of the “wide, early and excellent” planting model are good ventilation and light transmission, low labor costs, and easy management.
