Hello everyone!
“The foundation of the world is at home.” National prosperity and national rejuvenation are ultimately reflected in the happiness of every family. A home textile product carries the warmth of family and the poetry of residence, and drives economic development and the realization of employment. Home textiles, textiles for the home. As one of the three major terminal areas of textiles, home textiles face thousands of households. It is an important focus of the industry in creating a better life for the people and serving the overall situation of common prosperity. It is an industry full of happiness, value and responsibility. I am very happy to gather with you today to participate in this conference that carries happiness, value and responsibility. On behalf of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, I would like to congratulate you on the convening of the meeting!
But looking at the path I came from, I saw a faint green sky. A century of changes continues to evolve. Amid the Sino-US trade conflict and the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the home textile industry has gone through an extraordinary and difficult journey. The violent storm shows the power of concentration. Under the leadership of the sixth council, the Home Textile Association has carried out fruitful work with extraordinary wisdom and courage. The industry has gone through many fogs, overcome various risks, and achieved stable and healthy development in the uncertain and unstable external environment. The Fourth Five-Year Plan got off to a smooth start.
Over the past six years, the association has always been with the people, with the country and the country in mind, and its industry work has demonstrated a sense of responsibility for the overall situation. The association strengthens the leadership of the party, keeps in mind its original mission, speaks for enterprises, assists the industry, shares burdens with the government, and guides industries to serve the country’s prosperity, national rejuvenation, and people’s happiness. Scientifically prepare and pragmatically promote industrial development plans and outlines, actively promote the implementation of national policies in the industry, and actively guide the in-depth integration of industrial economy with regional economy. The healthy development of the industry has made important contributions to stabilizing the economy, protecting people’s livelihood, promoting employment, and preventing risks.
Over the past six years, the association has always kept pace with the times, been determined to innovate, and its industry work has demonstrated a professional spirit. The association adheres to innovation-driven development. Promote cross-industry cooperation and adapt to changes in lifestyles and scenarios. From “a piece of cloth” to “a home”, the concept of “big home” is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people and the market space is broader; promote industry design innovation andQualityInnovation, strengthening guidance and cultivation, masters, big names, and major events have achieved fruitful results, and the home textile industry quality conference and other work have led the industry; the industry’s innovative development model has been promoted, and digital and green transformation have flourished.
Over the past six years, the association has always worked with enterprises to create and prosper together, and industry work has demonstrated a platform value. The association actively safeguards the common interests of the industry, reflects the development demands of the industry, establishes a correct image of the industry, and creates a good environmental atmosphere. Efforts will be made to promote upstream and downstream linkage and promote domestic and international circulation. Strengthen enterprise assistance and empowerment to help resolve difficulties such as operational disruptions and ensure the safety and stability of the industrial chain. Focus on basic capacity building and promote high-quality and sustainable development of the industry. The leading role of leading enterprises continues to increase, and new specialized and specialized enterprises emerge rapidly.
The association implements its original intention, professional ingenuity and industry’s public spirit by providing innovative services with clear principles, excellent skills and unity. The development over the past six years has laid a solid foundation for the industry’s steady and long-term development. Here, I would like to pay tribute to all colleagues who have contributed to the development of the home textile industry.
Since the beginning of this year, the external environment has become more complex, and some unexpected factors have exceeded expectations. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is tense, and the game between China and the United States has intensified. Geopolitics has become an important source of instability and risk for industrial development. The prices of crude oil, cotton and other commodities have risen sharply, trade has been blocked, consumption has been weak, and corporate development has been under tremendous pressure. Domestic COVID-19 epidemics occur frequently, and the epidemic areas highly overlap with industrial centers and key markets, which is having a greater impact on the industry. Under the new situation, ensuring the steady development of the industry is not only a practical need to help enterprises cope with the triple pressure of shrinking demand, supply shocks, and weakening expectations, but also a strategic requirement to ensure the stability of the entire economy and society and steadily promote common prosperity. Strengthening industry services around seeking progress while maintaining stability is an important mission of our industry work.
It is hoped that the Home Textile Association, under the leadership of the new board of directors, will have the courage to take on responsibilities, take active actions, face difficulties, build on the past and forge ahead into the future, and contribute to the smooth operation, transformation and upgrading and high quality of the industry. Quality development opens up a new situation.
Here, we will focus on the industry trends after the change of the Home Textile Association.I would like to raise three expectations.
First, industry work must climb to a higher level, set a clear direction, and serve the country’s strategy and overall situation. Adhere to the leadership of party building, keep in mind the “bigger of the country”, and fully unleash the important role of industry development in maintaining social stability, ensuring people’s livelihood and employment, promoting regional development, and serving rural revitalization. Strengthen industrial research and situation analysis to help enterprises understand the general trend and strengthen their confidence in development.
Second, industry work must expand in breadth, be upright and innovative, and extend the scope and scope of services. While serving manufacturing companies, brand companies, and industrial clusters, industry services must also be extended to the consumer level and accelerate the formation of consumer-oriented solutions. It is necessary to strengthen cross-border cooperation, improve the overall and systematic nature of services through efficient collaboration of resources, and do a good job in the great home furnishing in the great integration.
Third, industry work must dig deeper, work more intensively, and improve the quality and connotation of development. Strengthen forward-looking awareness and practical testing, and layout future industries and industry futures around trends such as digital economy, green development, and scenario innovation. Adhere to pragmatic development, guide the industry to strengthen product confidence and brand confidence while establishing cultural confidence, integrate resources and layout the world in the trend of globalization.
The ancients called “cultivation of Qi and peace”. In the spiritual pedigree of the Chinese people, “small family” is closely connected with “big country”. The home textile industry uses products as a link to connect the happiness of thousands of households with the prosperity of the country and the nation. The righteousness of family and country is a prominent feature and essential pursuit of industry development. On the new journey of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, let us move forward together, jointly promote the high-quality development of the home textile industry, and create a better future!
