On April 4, in the cotton field of Ba Yunquan Village, Jiuyun Street Town, Fukang City, a precision seeder moved forward at a constant speed under the precise positioning of the Beidou satellite positioning and navigation system. Farmers followed the seeder closely to check the planting, The conditions of film spreading and soil covering ensure the quality of sowing.
There are more than 2,900 acres of cultivated land in Bayunquan Village, Jiuyun Street Town, Fukang City, and 2,600 acres of cotton are planned to be sown, all using early-maturing varieties. Yang Youdong, secretary of the village party branch and director of the village committee, said: “We use the new Beidou navigation automatic driving system seeder to achieve driverless driving, which not only saves seeds and labor, but also has a much higher seedling emergence rate than before. In the past, 500 acres of seeds were sown. It took 6 days to plant the fields, but now it only takes 3 days to complete the precision sowing, laying of film and drip irrigation tapes at one time, and the subsequent management and harvesting are also very convenient.”
