According to statistics, the current total output value, total export value, and profit of the textile industry in the five provinces of Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Fujian The three total indicators account for 73%, 70%, and 87% of the country’s total respectively, and the textile cluster effect in these five provinces is very significant.
According to a survey by the China Textile Industry Association, Jiangyin City, Zhangjiagang City, Changshu City in Jiangsu Province, Shaoxing County in Zhejiang Province, Xiaoshan District in Hangzhou City, Dongguan City, Kaiping City, and Zhongshan City in Guangdong Province have an output value of more than 10 billion yuan. In the textile base cities (counties), the total output value of the textile industry reached 244.2 billion yuan, accounting for 38% of the total industrial output value of these 10 cities and counties.
Experts participating in the seminar believed that textile industry clusters, as a form of regional economic organization, provide favorable conditions for the intensive development of non-public small and medium-sized textile enterprises. Their strong industrial vitality is accelerating the process of rural industrialization and urbanization, and increasing social Employment and fiscal and tax revenue have played an irreplaceable positive role.
