On March 15, 2023, the National Cotton Processing Standardization Technical Committee organized and held an industry standard discussion meeting on “Netless Battery” in Xiajin, Shandong. From Anhui University of Finance and Economics, Cotton Industry Branch of China Cotton Association, Zhengzhou Cotton and Linen Engineering Technology Design Institute, China Cotton Group Co., Ltd., Shandong FiberQualityMonitoring Center, Xiajin Experts and committee members from the County Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, Shandong Xinruina Home Textile Co., Ltd., Anhui Shouxian Yinfeng Cotton Co., Ltd., Nantong Yufeng Plastic Packaging Co., Ltd. and other units attended the meeting.

With the improvement of enterprise production levels and people’s awareness of quality, the quality of meshless batts has repeatedly received attention, and consumers are paying more attention to the consumption safety of such products in the process of purchasing. The formulation of the “Netless Battery” industry standard will put forward clear requirements for the quality of webless cotton tires, and make specific provisions on product inspection methods, inspection rules, and qualification determination. It is of great significance to ensure the quality of webless cotton batting products, safeguard the interests of consumers, guide the production of webless batting, and promote the technological progress of webless batting processing enterprises. At the same time, it plays a leading role in establishing a solid bottom line for product quality and safety, establishing a benchmark brand, promoting the healthy development of the industry, protecting consumer rights, enhancing the company’s independent innovation capabilities, and accelerating the formation of a complete standard system for cotton batting processing.

In order to further confirm the scientific nature of the technical indicators set in the standard, during the meeting, the expert group went to the production workshop of the cotton tire processing enterprise to test and verify the relevant data and technical parameters, and held on-site discussions and exchanges.
