According to the climate characteristics of the mountainous areas of Longlin County, different mulberry tree varieties are developed and different methods of sericulture are adopted. It is recommended that the grafted variety – Nongsang No. 14 be planted in high-cold areas and the leaf rearing sericulture model be adopted; in low-altitude areas, solid mulberry trees – Guisangyou No. 12 or Guisang No. 6 is suitable for adopting the strip mulberry breeding model to increase the yield and quality of mulberry leaves in mulberry gardens and increase the income of silkworm farmers.
