So far, more than 1.4 million acres of cotton have been sown in Xinjiang, and the progress is about 200,000 acres faster than the same period last year.
This year’s cotton sowing work in Xinjiang is carried out from south to north. Aksu, Kashgar and other major cotton planting areas have seized the favorable opportunity of rising temperatures and good soil moisture to fully carry out cotton sowing work. Relying on high-standard farmland, various regions have widely promoted technologies such as double-film mulching, dry sowing and wet seeding, and one film and three rows. In order to better improve the quality of cotton sowing in spring, in the near future, Xinjiang’s agricultural and rural departments will select experts from the autonomous region’s modern agricultural cotton industry technology system to set up a technical service guidance group to conduct 25 key cotton-growing counties in accordance with the method of package and package.
