Canada recalls substandard KN masks
On May 10, 2020, Health Canada issued a notice to recall unqualified KN95 masks.
The reason for the recall is that the minimum filtration rate of these KN95 masks exported to Canada cannot reach 95%. Wearing these masks will pose a health and safety risk to users. .
In addition, Health Canada has required manufacturers and companies to recall these non-compliant products and provide instructions for initiating the recall in accordance with section 64 of the Medical Device Regulations. Any relevant medical device establishment license (MDEL) or submission number (SN) for filing and publicity.
