Türkiye launches safeguard measures investigation on imported polyester staple fiber

On May 30, 2020, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2020/4, which launched a ban on imported polyester staple fiber (Turkish: Poliesterlerden) in response to the application of domestic manufacturers in Turkey. Safeguard measures to initiate investigation. The Turkish tax number of the product involved is 5503.20.00.00.00. The final result of this case will be announced within nine months at the earliest.

Stakeholders can download the questionnaire from the website http://www.ticaret.gov.tr and should submit their answers to the questionnaire within 30 days of the announcement.
