The United States made the second anti-dumping and countervailing review on China’s narrow-width webbing with selvage and made a final affirmative ruling on industrial damage
On February 23, 2022, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to make its second decision on Narrow Woven Ribbons with Woven Selvedge imported from China. The anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review has made a final and affirmative ruling on industry harm. The second anti-dumping sunset review has made a final and affirmative ruling on industry harm for narrow-width webbing with selvage edges in Taiwan, China. It ruled that if the anti-dumping duties and countervailing duties on the products involved are cancelled, the substantial damage caused by the products involved to the domestic industry in the United States will continue or reoccur within a reasonably foreseeable period. In this ruling, all five members voted in the affirmative. According to the affirmative ruling of the U.S. International Trade Commission, the United States will continue to impose anti-dumping duties and countervailing duties on the products involved in the case from China, and impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the case from Taiwan, China.
On August 6, 2009, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to launch an anti-dumping investigation into narrow-width webbing with selvedges imported from China and Taiwan. China’s narrow webbing with selvedges is under anti-subsidy investigation. On November 16, 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to make a second affirmative final ruling on the rapid sunset review of anti-dumping on the products involved in the case from China and Taiwan. On December 3, 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to make a second affirmative final ruling on anti-subsidy rapid sunset review of the Chinese products involved. The case involves products under U.S. harmonized tariff numbers 5806.32.1020, 5806.32.1030, 5806.32.1050, and 5806.32.1060, as well as tariff numbers 5806.31.00, 5806.32.20, 5806.39.20, 5806.39.30, and 5808.90.00 , 5810.91.00, 5810.99.90, 5903.90.10, 5903.90.25, 5907.00.60, 5907.00.80, 5806.32.1080, 5810.92.9080, 5903.90.3090 and 6307.90.9889. .
