The Indonesian Ministry of Industry will continue to promote the textile machinery and equipment restructuring plan in 2022, using advanced technology to improve the production efficiency and quality of Indonesia’s domestic textile industry and products. In 2021, 8 companies have participated. In 2022, the Ministry of Industry will increase the participation rate of textile operators through physical and online promotion activities. Currently, more than 240 operators have been promoted.
The “Textile Machinery and Equipment Reorganization Plan” is a government subsidy for textile machinery operators to purchase part of the cost of imported or domestic machinery. If you purchase imported machinery, you can apply for a 10% price subsidy from the government. ; You can apply for a 25% price subsidy when purchasing domestic machinery. The purpose is to encourage businesses to use high-quality machinery and equipment produced in the country. The types of machinery include the application of artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, 3D printing, etc. The Indonesian government has allocated 8.5 billion Indonesian rupiah (approximately US$600,000) for this plan, hoping that Indonesian textile-related industries can improve production efficiency, save energy and produce textiles in an environmentally friendly way, and achieve the goals of the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). meet the global climate goals of the Paris Climate Agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
