On May 17, Jinhua Science Writers Association, Yiwu Market Development Research Center, and Municipal Textile Industry Association jointly held a feasibility seminar on the construction of a textile industry science and technology park.

The seminar was hosted by He Jiannong, chairman of the Jinhua Popular Science Writers Association and director of the Yiwu Research Center of the Institute of Market Economics of Tongji University.
Wang Jianming, a backbone of the Popular Science Writers Association and a researcher at the Yiwu Market Development Research Center, made a keynote speech: In recent years, Yiwu’s textile industry has developed the fastest, has the longest industrial chain, and has the best sales performance. In the era of rapid development of the Internet and e-commerce, the physical textile market has grown against the trend and is a veritable “hidden champion” of the market. In the context of Yiwu’s development strategy of “promoting commerce and building a city”, experts at the meeting suggested that the textile industry should be guided by scientific development and establish the concept of a chess game in Jinhua. Yiwu has more people but less land and the land for industrial projects is very tight. Focusing on the neighboring counties and cities, especially Lanxi City and Wuyi County where the textile manufacturing industry is more developed, the Jinhua region is on the same journey and uses the Yiwu market as an industry product logistics and sales platform to effectively achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, and win-win cooperation. !
Huang Qingping, deputy secretary-general of the Jinhua Popular Science Writers Association and president of the Yiwu Textile Industry Association, thanked the participants for their constructive speeches and said: Yiwu’s textile industry market lacks long-term development layout planning, and many operators face high rents in professional streets and Due to the scarcity of storage space, the association will further strive for support and care from government departments to expand development space for the majority of textile business households. The association must strengthen contact with the government departments of the counties and cities in Bawu, vigorously introduce domestic and foreign high-tech science and technology, improve thequality of industry products as soon as possible, and rely on the power of popular science writers and market research experts , carry out industry surveys and research, come up with feasibility reports on industry development and park construction as soon as possible, accelerate the planning of small and micro enterprise technology parks, and contribute team strength to the high-level construction of the “World Capital of Small Commodities”.
Yiwu Textile Industry Association was established in 2004 and currently has more than 120 members. Over the past 16 years, the association has led its members to forge ahead and develop together. Many members have established their own companies and brands from small to large, which has also driven the continuous accumulation and growth of Yiwu’s textile industry. From the Binwang Market and the surrounding one or two hundred textile merchants at the beginning of the establishment of the association, it has developed to the thousands of merchants (incomplete statistics) in the market in the fifth district of the International Trade City and the professional streets in the surrounding Chengxin District 1 and 2. In the past, most of them were purchased by small merchants and manufacturers and then wholesaled. Nowadays, most operators operate independently online and offline, and independently develop various styles and charter machines for mass production. It can be said that the vast number of textile people in Yiwu have achieved an increase in sales breadth and popularity from small to large. The transformation from quantity to quality goes hand in hand.
