India exports 10,000 tons of cotton yarn

In March, India exported 95,200 tons of cotton yarn (under HS: 5205), a month-on-month increase of 4.50% and a year-on-year decrease of 2.16%. In the 2021/22 fiscal year (August-March) India Exports of cotton yarn were 879,900 tons, a year-on-year increase of 24.29%. The main exporting countries and export volume proportions are as follows: exports to Bangladesh reached 367,300 tons, a year-on-year increase of 133.90%, accounting for 41.73%; exports to China reached 137,500 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 27.51%, accounting for 15.63%.
