India launches anti-circumvention investigation into Chinese polyester high-elastic yarn

On July 27, 2022, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that in response to an application submitted by the Indian domestic enterprise Reliance Industries Limited, polyester high-elasticity originating in or imported from China High Tenacity Polyester Yarn launched an anti-circumvention investigation to examine whether the product involved had changed its description, name or ingredients to avoid anti-dumping duties. The dumping investigation period in this case is from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 (12 months), and the damage investigation period is from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019, and from April 1, 2019 to 2020 March 31, 2020, April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021, and the dumping investigation period. Involving products under Indian Customs Code 5402.2090.
