Cotton yarn prices in northern India stabilize, market sentiment improves in Ludhiana
Foreign news reported on August 29 that yarn prices in northern India showed a stabilizing trend on Monday due to purchases by downstream industries.

Ludhiana market sentiment has improved due to increased demand, but prices have remained stable. Recycled yarn prices also remained unchanged.
Cotton yarn prices remained unchanged in Ludhiana market. Buying from the silk textile industry improved. Spinners increased yarn prices last week. A local trader said: “As demand picks up, the market will digest the last increase in yarn prices. People are optimistic that demand from the downstream industry will increase in the coming weeks.”
Traders expect prices to improve over time.
According to Fibre2Fashion’s market insight tool TexPro, in Ludhiana, 30-count pure cotton combed yarn sells for 394-399 rupees per kilogram (including excise tax). The transaction price of 20-count and 25-count pure cotton combed yarn is 380-385 rupees and 385-390 rupees. 30 count woolen yarn is quoted at Rs 345-350 per kg.

A trader from Delhi said that buyers are taking delivery of cotton yarn, but the quantity is limited. Demand is strong enough to support prices amid reduced supply from textile mills.
According to TexPro, 30-count pure cotton combed yarn sells for 385-390 rupees per kilogram (including excise tax). 40 count pure cotton combed yarn is priced at Rs 425-430 per kg. The transaction price of 30-count slub yarn is 345-350 rupees per kilogram, and the transaction price of 40-count slub yarn is 380-385 rupees per kilogram.
The price trend of Barneybird recycled yarn is stable and the demand is average. According to market players, exports and domestic demand have yet to pick up. However, buying orders for combed cotton improved.
Sellers are trying to keep prices at current levels. In the Banipat market, 30-count recycled yarn is sold at Rs 160-165 per kg (excluding GST). The trading price of 10-count recycled yarn (white) is 90-95 rupees per kilogram (excluding consumption tax), the trading price of 10-count recycled yarn (colored high-quality) is 110-115 rupees per kilogram, and the trading price of 10-count recycled yarn (colored low-quality) The price is 80-85 rupees per kilogram.
New and old cotton from northern India arrives at the same time.
The Grand Bazaar of Haryana received new crop cotton from the Mathura-Khodar region and the transaction price per morind (37.2 kg) was 9,400-9,500 rupees.
The price of old-crop cotton last week was 8,000-8,500 rupees per morund; the price of new-crop cotton for September delivery was 9,200-9,300 rupees per morund.
In Rajasthan and Punjab, arrivals and trade of old-crop cotton further declined.
