Canada implements recall of Chinese velvet carpets
On September 28, 2022, Health Canada announced a recall of velvet carpets made in China.
The recalled product is InHomeBirk light gray velvet carpet, measuring 160cmx230cm.
The product does not meet the flammability requirements for floor coverings and may cause a fire hazard.
The products recalled were sold in Canada from January to September 2022, with approximately 119 units sold.
As of September 16, 2022, there are no reports of accidents or casualties.
Health Canada recommends that you stop using this product immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a refund or equivalent replacement.
