Cotton prices rise in northern India, cotton yarn prices fall in Delhi

In Delhi, trading was light and cotton yarn prices of different counts and varieties fell by Rs 10 per kg. A trader in the Delhi market said, “Demand may still be weak, but the arrival of new crops and falling prices will encourage buyers to restock.” In the market, 30-count combed cotton yarn is traded at 300-305 rupees per kilogram (excluding consumption tax), 40 The trading price of combed cotton yarn is 330-335 rupees per kilogram, the trading price of 30-count carded cotton yarn is 280-285 rupees per kilogram, and the trading price of 40-count carded cotton yarn is 315-320 rupees per kilogram.
Cotton yarn prices in Ludhiana market remain stable at previous levels. A trader from Ludhiana said overall trading remains very weak. The price of 30-count combed cotton yarn is 300-310 counts per kilogram (including consumption tax). The price of 20-count and 25-count combed cotton yarn per kilogram is 290-300 rupees and 295-305 rupees. The price of 30 count carded cotton yarn is stable at 275-285 rupees per kilogram.
Panipat recycled yarn market transactions are light. According to traders, most trading activities remained closed on the first trading day after Diwali. Ahead of the festival, 10-count recycled cotton yarn (white) was trading at Rs 100-105 per kg (excluding GST). The price of 10 count recycled cotton yarn (colorful high quality) is 110-115 rupees per kg, the price of 10 count recycled cotton yarn (colorful low quality) is 80-85 rupees per kg, the price of 20 count recycled cotton yarn (colorful high quality) is 115-120 rupees per kg. . The price of 30 count recycled yarn is Rs 155-160 per kg.
In northern India, cotton prices have increased by 100-150 kg per morind (37.2 kg). Cotton is traded at Rs 6,525-6,550 in Punjab, Rs 6,550-6,600 per kandhi (356 kg) in Haryana and Rs 6,625-6,650 in upper Rajasthan. In Rajasthan, the price per kandi is Rs 68,000-69,000. According to traders, an upward trend in cotton futures prices is supporting spot prices. However, due to the limited number of arrivals after Diwali, the overall transaction is still light. The number of cotton arrivals in this region is about 10,000-11,000 bales.
