Sericulture is the traditional advantageous industry of Taiji Township. Currently, 8,200 acres of mulberry gardens have been built. More than 5,000 tons of cocoons were produced last year, ranking first in the region in cocoon production for four consecutive years. Since the beginning of this year, Taiji Township has taken the modernization of agriculture and rural farmers as its goal, transformed the study and education of party history into the motivation to promote rural revitalization, and strived to transform the results of study and education into the actual results of a good start in the “14th Five-Year Plan”, with high Quality Create “one town, one park (i.e. sericulture town, agricultural and sideline products processing park), and harmonious Tai Chi” to consolidate and expand the results of poverty alleviation and comprehensively promote rural revitalization.
Through in-depth research and extensive listening to public opinions, the Taiji Township Party Committee proposed to seize the traditional advantageous industries, focus on “sericulture”, and vigorously develop “sericulture + edible fungi”, “sericulture + vegetables”, “sericulture + sweet potato” and “sericulture”. The three-dimensional agricultural model of “+ underforest breeding” has diversified the sericulture industry into industrial chains such as mulberry branch fungi, mulberry leaf surface, mulberry incense candles, and silkworm excrement pillows. In addition, Taiji Township also takes the “leader” as the lead, adheres to the integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, develops industries such as grain and oil, Chinese medicinal materials, camellia oleifera, hairy crabs, and meat rabbits, and promotes the transformation of traditional agriculture into modern agriculture.
