Teijin expands production facilities in Thailand
Teijin Frontier, a fiber company under the Teijin Group, is building a polyester long fiber automated production equipment worth 1 billion yen at its core polyester fiber manufacturing base Teijin Polyester Thailand (TPL) .
The new factory is equipped with a polyester composite yarn multi-spindle spinning machine and an additive adding machine, and is expected to produce 1,500 tons of polyester long fiber per year.
Enhance the added value of TPL through ultra-efficient spinning and composite yarn automation processes. TPL will produce TeijinFrontier’s unique polyester long fibers for apparel and underwear, such as hollow fiber Octa and moisture-absorbent quick-drying yarns.
TeijinFrontier expects to expand and improve its Ecopet recycling polyester fiber capabilities by integrating the new facility with a separate facility that began operations at TPL in January, bringing Thailand Wasted PET bottle chips purchased from the market are converted into recycled polyester chips.
The new facility will be able to accommodate a variety of special polymers and recycled raw materials, in addition to adding functional additives to raw yarn to produce new polyester long fibers.
