The United States issues a recall of baby sleeping bags made in China
On February 9, 2023, the US CPSC announced a recall of baby sleeping bags made in China.
The recalled product is the WeeSprout baby sleeping bag. It is made from 100% cotton and is available in sizes from newborn to 36 months in the following colors: Blue Dusk, Dotted Rose, Gray Knit and Rosemary Knit. Sleeping bags of all colors and sizes are included in the recall.
The zipper on the product may detach from the sleeping bag, posing a suffocation hazard to children.
The recalled products were sold in the United States from August 2022 to December 2022, with approximately 31,630 units sold, priced at approximately US$17.
So far, 17 reports have been received of zippers detaching from sleeping bags, and there have been no reports of casualties.
CPSC recommends that you stop using the product immediately, cut it in half, take a photo and discard it. Contact WeeSprout to receive a $17 refund or credit in the form of a gift card.
