U.S. recalls children’s robes made in China
On April 13, 2023, the US CPSC announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s robes.
The recalled products are children’s robes. The product is made of 100% cotton and has two functional front pockets and an attached waist belt. It is available in children’s sizes 0 to 6T and comes in natural and snowflake colors. Sewn-on neck tag features brand “goumikids” and robe measurements. The interior label features material content, washing instructions and the words “Made in China, Designed in Portland, OR.”
The product does not meet federal flammability standards for children’s pajamas and may cause burns to children.
The recalled products were mailed directly to consumers as free gifts from Goumi’s loyalty program in January 2023, with a total of approximately 760 pieces shipped.
So far, no accidents or casualties have been reported.
CPSC recommends that you stop using this product immediately and contact Goumi to learn how to obtain a $48 store credit to purchase a replacement product.
