It is estimated that the arrival volume of cotton in Kupang is 25,000-27,000 bales (170 kg each), and the arrival volume of cotton in various parts of India is about 95,000-100,000 bales.

Demand in the cotton yarn market in southern India is sluggish, and textile mills may reduce production to prevent inventory accumulation. Although prices held steady, market sentiment remained subdued amid tepid demand from the textile and apparel industry. Cotton yarn prices remained unchanged in Tiruppur and Mumbai markets in Tamil Nadu, while cotton yarn prices in count 40-41 fell due to low demand.

Cotton yarn prices in Tirupur have been steady, but mills and stockists are grappling with slowing demand and tight cash flow for payments. Textile mills may need to consider reducing production. Prices have fallen to levels that may make it difficult for textile mills to continue operating. The entire textile value chain is under intense pressure due to the slowdown in exports.

According to TexPro, in the Tirupur market, 30-count combed cotton yarn is quoted at 270-275 rupees per kilogram (excluding consumption tax), and 34-count combed cotton yarn is quoted at 282 rupees per kilogram. – 287 rupees, 40 count combed cotton yarn 295-300 rupees per kg, 30 count carded cotton yarn 245-250 rupees per kg, 34 count carded cotton yarn 252-255 rupees per kg, 40 count carded cotton yarn 259-264 per kg rupee.

Although the price of cotton yarn in Mumbai remains stable, the price of 40-41 count yarn has shown a downward trend, falling by 10-12 rupees per kilogram. The 60-count combed warp yarn is quoted at 345-350 rupees per kilogram, and the 80-count carded weft yarn is quoted at 345-350 rupees per kilogram. 4.5 kg 1440-1480 rupees, 44/46 combed warp 273-278 rupees per kg, 40/41 combed warp 258-268 rupees per kg, 40/41 combed warp 282-286 rupees per kg.
