Jordan’s economic modernization vision will effectively promote textile exports
Petra News Agency reported on May 21: Ehab Qadri, representative of the textile and leather industry of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCI), said that Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision (EMV) promotes Plans for the development of the textile industry will significantly increase the quantity and quality of Jordanian textile exports. Jordan’s textile industry will provide a total of approximately 149,000 jobs in 2022, effectively reducing the unemployment rate. Jordan ranks 16th in the world in textile product exports and is the first Arab country to export textiles to the United States, accounting for 2% of U.S. textile imports. He expects Jordanian textile exports to reach $7.3 billion in the next decade ($2.1 billion in 2022).
