All 58 printing and dyeing companies in Shishi can realize steam fire extinguishing
A few days ago, a pipe purifier caught fire in a printing and dyeing factory in Shishi City. Suddenly, thick smoke billowed and the alarm sounded. Before the firefighters arrived, the fire had been put out. This is due to the automatic fire extinguishing system installed by the company not long ago.
Yesterday, the reporter learned from the Quanzhou Fire Rescue Detachment that there are currently 23 printing and dyeing companies in Shishi that have installed automatic fire extinguishing systems, and the rest are equipped with manual fire extinguishing systems. , all 58 printing and dyeing enterprises in the city can achieve steam fire extinguishing.
According to reports, a lot of lint and lint will be produced during the printing and dyeing process, and they will accumulate in production machines, smoke exhaust ducts, electrical circuits, etc. It is very easy to cause fires due to short circuits, overheating and other reasons in electrical circuits, especially in dryers. Equipment such as dryers and setting machines have a high probability of causing fires. The pipelines of these equipment are almost completely closed, with only a few small windows for daily inspection. If the pipeline catches fire, the high temperature and high pressure generated can easily cause the small windows to be extruded and deformed, making them unable to open, which brings great inconvenience to fire fighting. Most firefighters can only use external cooling and cooling methods when extinguishing fires. The automatic steam fire extinguishing system can quickly extinguish the fire and avoid causing a catastrophe.
When an automatic fire extinguishing system is not installed, it is much more difficult to put out a similar fire. At about 21:23 on December 17, 2019, a pipe in the purification device of a printing and dyeing enterprise in Jinshang Industrial Zone, Shishi City caught fire. When firefighters arrived at the scene, company employees were using fire hydrants to water the purification device. According to the situation on the scene, the firefighters used water to cool down the purification device and made preparations for fire extinguishing and rescue. After the factory technicians opened the sealing port of the device, they quickly put out the fire, which took more than an hour.
According to Shishi Fire Protection, the working principle of the automatic fire extinguishing system currently installed by Shishi’s printing and dyeing enterprises is to install temperature sensors in the pipes of the purifier and the setting machine. When a fire occurs, the sensor will send a signal to the fire detection sensor when it detects abnormal temperature. The steam fire extinguishing device will start immediately after receiving the signal to extinguish the pipe with steam. At the same time, the alarm unit receives the signal and issues an alarm. Not only that, the automatic fire extinguishing system also provides “double insurance” for each finalized machine. When a power outage or trip occurs, the fire can be quickly controlled by turning on the “manual mode”. Each worker can become a “firefighter” to ensure the safety of himself and the company’s property.
