Zhejiang builds a “Common Prosperity Demonstration Zone”, and the garment industry welcomes new opportunities for development
On June 10, the “Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Supporting the Development and Construction of a Common Prosperity Demonstration Zone in Zhejiang” (hereinafter referred to as the “Opinions”) were released . The “Opinions” focus on the important directions and key areas that urgently need breakthroughs and innovations in the construction of common prosperity demonstration zones, clarify four strategic positionings and six major measures for the construction of Zhejiang demonstration zones, and propose that Zhejiang Province will promote high-quality development and construction by 2025. The common prosperity demonstration zone has made significant and substantial progress. By 2035, Zhejiang Province will achieve greater achievements in high-quality development and basically achieve common prosperity.
Zhejiang is a key area for my country’s economic development, with good geographical advantages, complete economic structure, urban-rural integration, and regional coordination systems and mechanisms. At the same time, Zhejiang is also an important gathering area for China’s clothing industry. It has a number of clothing brands with strong innovation capabilities and great market influence, as well as industrial clusters with coordinated development of upstream and downstream industry chains. Up to now, Zhejiang Province has formed 6 garment industry demonstration clusters including “Haining Leather”, “Pinghu Clothing Manufacturing”, “Zhili Children’s Clothing”, etc., with 26 top 100 enterprises in the garment industry, as well as Yuhang Yishang Xiao Town and other 7 textile and clothing creative design pilot parks (platforms).
The release of the “Opinions” is closely linked to promoting common prosperity and promoting the all-round development of people. It will help promote consumption upgrades in Zhejiang and even the country. It will also build a market space with huge potential for the high-quality development of China’s garment industry. The “Opinions” clarified six major measures: first, to improve the quality and efficiency of development and consolidate the material foundation for common prosperity; second, to deepen the reform of the income distribution system and increase the income of urban and rural residents through multiple channels; third, to narrow the development gap between urban and rural areas and achieve high-quality public services sharing; the fourth is to create a cultural highland in the new era and enrich the people’s spiritual and cultural life; the fifth is to practice the concept that clear waters and lush mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains, and create a beautiful and livable living environment; the sixth is to adhere to and develop the “Maple Bridge Experience” in the new era, Build a social environment that is comfortable and secure.
The introduction of a series of major measures confirms the advanced nature of China’s apparel industry’s industrial positioning of “technology, fashion, and green”.
