Korla, Xinjiang: Cotton is growing well despite normal weather
Since late May, the Korla region of Xinjiang has been dominated by high temperatures and little rain, which is beneficial to cotton growth. At present, cotton growth is accelerating, the plant height has reached 32-45 cm, and there are 4-6 fruit branches.
A local cotton farmer said that cotton is currently in the budding stage, and the supply of fertilizer and water is critical. At present, cotton farmland management mainly focuses on watering, fertilizing, and pest control. Cotton farmers are currently irrigating for the first time, drip-irrigating urea, nitrogen, phosphorus and other fertilizers to ensure the reproductive growth of cotton. Pest and disease control focuses on preventing aphids.
