Develop large-scale breeding: Rong County has integrated 6.9 million yuan in project funds to promote the construction of sericulture breeding bases such as Ganbaichang Modern Agricultural Park in Xuyang Town, develop rural revitalization loans, and provide sericulture greenhouses, medium-sized sericulture houses, etc. to sericulture entities. Optimizing variety technology: Rong County has established a breeding system for improved varieties, introduced the silkworm variety “Chuanshan Shushui” with the characteristics of high cocoon production, excellent silk quality, and easy to raise, and promoted co-breeding of small silkworms and automatic clustering of cardboard square clusters and other technologies; through experiments and comparisons, we have introduced “Qiangsang No. 1” and “Chuansang 98-1” and other good mulberry varieties adapted to local soil and climate, and accelerated the process of good mulberry cultivation through grafting, rapid gardening and other methods. At present, the rate of improved mulberry species in Rong County is 92%, and the silkworm yield per silkworm has reached 43 kilograms, an increase of 6% year-on-year.

Extension of the industrial chain: Rong County has improved the entire industrial chain of “mulberry-silkworm-cocoon-silk-auxiliary products”, relying on the advantages of local silk brands such as “White Bird” to promote the large-scale development of the silk industry, and cooperated with the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for research and development High value-added products such as silk protein and silk peptide powder; vigorously develop agricultural tourism projects, launch experiential activities such as mulberry picking and silk making, and special delicacies such as peppercorn fried silkworm pupae and fried mulberry leaves, and develop mulberry wine and mulberry leaf tea Wait for mulberry products.
