Heze: New cotton is growing normally and the output is expected to be higher than last year
This week (August 9-13), cotton in the main cotton-producing area of Heze, Shandong Province has entered the full bloom period. As of August 11, the average local cotton plant height is about 130 centimeters and there are 3-5 peaches, which is higher than the same period last year. A local cotton farmer said that the new cotton is currently growing well and there are currently no pests and diseases in the cotton fields. In addition, the recent good weather is conducive to cotton growth. If there is no bad weather in the later period, the cotton output this year is expected to be 550-650 catties/mu, which is higher than the same period last year.
