Baoshan, Yunnan: The green development model of sericulture has achieved initial results

Focusing on the theme of green agricultural development, the Agricultural Technology Extension Center of Baoshan City, Yunnan Province implemented experimental demonstration and promotion work of green pest prevention and control technology in cocoon silk breeding and mulberry gardens in Zuosuo Village, Banqiao Town, Longyang District.

At the end of October, Baoshan Agricultural Technology Promotion Center took the sericulture green high-quality and efficient demonstration construction project as the starting point to actively implement the pilot demonstration and promotion of green pest prevention and control technology in cocoon silk breeding and mulberry gardens in Zuosuo Village, Banqiao Town, Longyang District Work and install 10 broad-spectrum solar frequency vibration automatic insecticidal lamps. In early November, on-site identification by plant protection experts showed that each insecticidal lamp trapped and killed more than 450 lepidopteran pests, more than 50 coleopteran pests, more than 40 hemipteran pests, and more than 100 other pests in the mulberry garden. Effectively reducing the population base and population of pests, reducing the number of traditional chemical prevention and control times, and reducing the negative impact on the production environment in the region, the green, high-quality, efficient, sustainable and healthy development of the Cocoon Silk Mulberry Garden has achieved initial results.
