Awati County is a major cotton planting county in Xinjiang. It is expected that cotton (lint ) total output will reach 195,170 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5,140 tons. The average yield of cotton (lint) is 134.57 kilograms, of which upland cotton yield is 151.6 kilograms, a year-on-year increase of 1.23 kilograms/mu; long-staple cotton yield is 90.5 kilograms.
