The number of loss-making enterprises increased, but the amount of losses decreased. From January to December 2016, the added value of the textile industry increased by 4.9% year-on-year, and production operations were generally stable; fixed asset investment in the textile industry increased by 10.7%; the production and sales rate of the textile industry reached 98.4%, and that of the garment manufacturing industry was 97.
