China’s clothing export growth rate rebounded significantly

Since the fourth quarter, the growth rate of clothing exports has picked up significantly compared with the third quarter. Exports in October were US$16.94 billion, a year-on-year increase of 25%, and exports in November were US$15.92 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%.

Shandong and Fujian’s garment exports increased by 35% and 43.8% year-on-year respectively, higher than the national average growth rate. Among the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in the central and western regions, Shanxi, Ningxia, Sichuan and Tibet’s garment export growth rate exceeded 100%.

Industry analysis shows that judging from the situation next year, overseas orders will still be sufficient in the first quarter and even the first half of the year.
