The 6th China International Fashion Design Innovation Competition ends
On the morning of December 29, 2021, the 6th China International Fashion Design Innovation Competition, a well-known event in the fashion industry, was held at Shuibei No. 1, Luohu District, Shenzhen.
Through on-site performances and expert scores, the competition makes a comprehensive evaluation of the designers’ fashion works in terms of completeness of the work, design innovation and overall effect of the stage performance. After fierce competition, the competition selected 1 first prize, 5 second prizes, 12 third prizes, 4 individual prizes and several annual fashion design newcomer awards. Among them, the work “Thousand Miles” designed by Yao Tingting from Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology “Marriage is a Thin Thread” was unanimously favored by the judges and won the first prize.
The Design Innovation Works Competition is an important highlight of the previous China (Shenzhen) International Fashion Festival. The competition is jointly sponsored by the Shenzhen Fashion Designers Association and the China Textile and Clothing Education Society. The judges of the competition are Vice Chairman of the China Fashion Designers Association and Guangdong Ji Wenbo, president of the Provincial Fashion Designers Association and winner of the highest gold medal in China’s fashion design, Li Xiaoyan, winner of the highest gold medal in China’s fashion design, vice president of the Guangdong Fashion Designers Association and Fangfang Fashion Design Director, Li Xiaoyan, winner of the highest gold medal in China’s fashion design Liu Wei, winner of the highest gold award, China Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage Promotion Ambassador, vice chairman of Shenzhen Fashion Designers Association, winner of the highest gold award of the 20th and 24th China Fashion Design Awards, vice president of Guangdong Fashion Designers Association Liu Yong, one of China’s top ten fashion designers, Jin Xi, dean of the School of Art and Design of South China Agricultural University, and other heavyweight experts serve as the directors.
This competition, with the theme of “Changzheng·Craftsman”, highlights the cultural characteristics and talent elements of the Bay Area, attracting many universities and professional designers across the country. Come and participate, hundreds of entries were collected. After an open, fair and impartial preliminary evaluation, a total of 31 groups of works were selected and shortlisted for the finals. At the finals, the shortlisted works were exhibited live. Young designers used their unique talents to convey and interpret the craftsmanship of the clothing world. The entries incorporated new materials, new Craftsmanship and new fashions, there are many works that display traditional Chinese aesthetic imagery and are both creative and practical.
Since the China International Fashion Design Innovation Competition was held, each session has attracted widespread attention and active participation from many students, designers, and colleges at home and abroad. After six years of development and polishing, the competition has become a fashion selection A first-class competitive platform for designing talents and strengthening the team of designers, providing important talent support for the highquality development of the fashion industry. Zhou Shikang, president of the Shenzhen Fashion Designers Association, said that the competition aims to accelerate the discovery and cultivation of innovative fashion design talents in the new era, enhance the soft power and core competitiveness of the industry, and form a competition-led approach to attract emerging domestic and foreign fashion designers to the same stage. Competition promotes the inheritance and innovation of clothing culture.
