Analysis of the causes of stains on vat-dyed fabrics

Vat dyed fabric stained fabric dyeing
Sometimes the finished vat-dyed fabrics will have some stains or spots on the surface. The main reasons are as follows:
p>
1. The chemical raw materials are not uniform enough: Just like the paint for painting, if the temperature is low in winter, it is easy to condense and not easy to split, so it must be uniform at a certain temperature. Stir and preferably filter out large impurities.
2. Problems with gray fabric: If there is no problem with dyeing, but there is a problem with the gray fabric, it will also cause stains. For example: if there are impurities on the cloth surface, if they are not cleaned, it will lead to uneven dyeing. If the gray fabric itself has colored yarn, it will be useless to dye it evenly. Especially the pH problem of the cloth surface. Pay attention to the amount of caustic soda used during pre-treatment. Too much or too little will damage the gray fabric. Parts that have been over-treated with caustic soda may become darker in color. The amount used will depend on the specific fabric.
3. Water used for dyeing: Water is very important. The quality of the water and the content of metal ions have a considerable impact on printing and dyeing, and metal The influence of iron ions in ions is greater.
4. Dyeing heating speed control: If the dyeing heating speed rises too fast, it will also cause color spots on the fabric.
5. Improper use of dyeing auxiliaries: The more auxiliaries used, the better, but the appropriate amount. A simple example: some softeners are not resistant to high temperatures. If used at high temperatures, they will inevitably cause demulsification and agglomeration to form color stains, which appear as oily spots and uneven color patches. In addition, the low-temperature (not exceeding 40°C) silicone oil added in vat dyeing, or the cationic softener that is not cleaned, will also affect the color of the next vat.
6. Dye compatibility issues.
7. The quality of dyes is poor. Some manufacturers blindly pursue cost reduction and use dyes with weak dispersion power or do not use leveling agents with good dispersion power. It is not guaranteed.
