Overdying process of denim fabrics
Overdying is different from dyeing. Because the color registration has a background color.
Overdying is often used in denim washing
1. Most of the dyes used in overdying are direct dyes. Common ones are: brown, yellow, and red. Each dye has many classifications. For example: brown is divided into: red brown, yellow brown, etc.
2. Overdying rarely uses one kind of dye. Two or three kinds of dyes are commonly used, and the materials are added according to the proportion.
3. Yuanming powder or industrial salt is often added during the overdying process. Function: Aids dyeing.
4. Temperature and time are also important because they will affect the color fastness and coloring effect.
Overdying can be divided into single sets…double sets…
Single sets are relatively simple… As mentioned above… the temperature is about 0-40 degrees for 3 minutes… It depends on the situation
Double sets are more complicated… You need to first dye the base color at high temperature (about 80 degrees, 20 minutes)… and then polish it with filtrate or stone… to a certain degree. Or the background color…scan by hand and then make a single set.
