In order to understand the growth situation of new cotton in Shandong, the Shandong Heze Monitoring Station went to Chengwu and Juye areas to conduct on-site visits and surveys.
The survey results show that the current local cotton growth is good. The cotton plant height is 90-110 cm. On average, there are about 20 peaches, and some of them have flower buds. It is understood that the current cotton growth is normal and there are no diseases and insect pests. However, due to the low effective precipitation in the area, the fields are slightly dry. According to the weather forecast, the Heze area may experience a round of moderate to heavy rains from the 16th to the 18th, which can effectively alleviate drought and facilitate the growth of cotton. Cotton farmers should do a good job in drainage work by then.
