From July 15th to 16th, the Shanshan County Meteorological Bureau organized agricultural meteorological technicians to go to Pizhan Town, Dongbaza Township and other towns in the county to conduct field surveys of cotton fuqian peach.
The survey results show that due to the impact of strong winds and low temperature weather this spring, the growth and development of cotton are retarded, and the development period is later than in previous years. The development period of most cotton fields has just passed the peak flowering period, and the number of peaches before falling is also significantly lower than in previous years. , the average number of first-class seedlings is 2.7, which is 0.6 less than in previous years; the average number of second-class seedlings is 0.4, which is 2.0 less than in previous years; the average number of third-class seedlings is 0.3, which is 1.3 less than in previous years.
Based on cotton growth and field surveys, agricultural meteorological technicians from the bureau suggested strengthening water and fertilizer management in the middle and late stages of cotton fields to promote more cotton bolls, larger bolls, and more high-quality bolls. The bureau will further strengthen cotton monitoring, release refined cotton service products through multiple channels, and make every effort to provide cotton services to farmers.
