Henan is a major textile province with thousands of cotton spinning, chemical fiber, Textile machinery and other related enterprises, many textile enterprises have been affected to varying degrees by the sudden natural disaster. As the rain gradually decreases, subsequent production and transportation will gradually return to normal.
Cotton spinning enterprises have limited impact
As an important pure cotton spinning base in the country, the Henan region is mainly affected by rain and waterlogging in the central and western regions, with Zhengzhou and Xinxiang being more severe. Luoyang, Xuchang and other places were affected to varying degrees. Most textile companies in Henan are concentrated in villages and towns, and production has not been affected for the most part, but logistics operations are slightly restricted. Some textile companies in Zhoukou, Zhumadian and other places stated that they will continue to operate according to orders, and replenishment has not been affected yet.
It is reported that there are about 20 million spindles in Henan, and cotton spinning spindles are mainly concentrated in Kaifeng, Shangqiu, Nanyang, Xinxiang, Jiaozuo, and Pingdingshan. Among them, Xinye in Nanyang is a famous cotton textile city in China. Its products are mainly pure cotton yarn, and the count is mostly 40S and 60S. Henan’s rayon yarn manufacturing companies are concentrated in Xinxiang. Since the rise of Xinjiang yarn, Henan’s rayon yarn has basically not grown. Most of the rayon yarn companies are currently in a contract processing state, and their products are Mainly ring-spun rayon yarn and strands. As far as cotton spinning raw materials are concerned, the local polyester staple fiber has a total production capacity of 250,000 tons, and the production capacity is concentrated in Luoyang. At present, Henan Province does not have viscose short fiber production capacity, but Xinxiang area has 90,000 tons of lyocell production capacity, and Zhoukou may also have plans to add lyocell in the future.
Since July 17, the Xinxiang area has actively responded to the heavy rain. However, the current average load rate of local cotton yarn is still less than 30%. Among them, Fengquan District has obvious shutdowns, Huixian County, Huojia County, Wei County Bin District maintains adequate load operation, but transportation is currently restricted. However, before the heavy rain, such areas had been affected by power cuts and the overall startup rate of rayon yarn was low.
It is understood that the main factory and subsidiaries of Henan listed companies and nylon manufacturer Shenma Co., Ltd. have not been greatly affected. Xinxiang Chemical Fiber has taken preventive measures in advance. Production is currently normal and transportation has not been significantly affected.
Except for factories in some flood-affected areas in Zhengzhou that have suspended production, most other non-woven fabrics and medical companies are located in Xinxiang and other places, which are far away from Zhengzhou and will not be greatly affected. However, it is currently in the stable period of PP non-woven fabrics, and the factory operating rate is average. The flood season has not yet had a major impact on orders from PP non-woven factories.
Cotton warehouse status is safe
The amount of cotton planting and processing in Henan is relatively small, but trade and warehousing are relatively concentrated. Zhengzhou, which was most severely affected by the heavy rain, has a small number of cotton planting and spinning companies. So far, there have been no reports of flooding or disasters in local cotton warehouses. Subsequent flood discharges and logistics transportation will be affected, but as the weather improves, the impact will not last long. Moreover, the current actual trading volume of domestic cotton is not large. Based on the high raw material inventory of spinning mills, the amount of urgent shipments is also limited.
After the floods occurred, the national cotton trading market immediately learned about the situation of the three cooperative warehouses in Zhengzhou (432 locations, Henan Yumian, and China Cotton Group Henan Logistics Park). Currently, each warehouse has entered a state of full combat readiness. , ensuring the safety of personnel and goods through flood control facilities such as sandbags and water pumps. Among them, 432 of them can handle business with China Cotton Henan Logistics Park normally. Since Yumian Ku is close to Zhengzhou, the nearby expressway exit and the special railway line within the library are all open. closed. In addition to Zhengzhou, the trading market has also learned about the personnel, cargo safety, and business acceptance conditions in other regional cooperative warehouses in Henan Province.
