AWI launches innovative Merino wool technology
At the just-concluded SPINEXPO Shanghai yarn show, AWI released more than 15 merino wool development innovations, emphasizing the versatility and durability of Australian merino wool fiber.
The innovative Merino products released this time meet the needs of consumers while keeping up with fashion trends. AWI has worked with many spinners and knitters to jointly develop a series of Australian Merino wool products, and ingredients such as aloe vera, passionflower oil and lavender will be added in the form of microcapsules during the textile process. Research could increase demand for Australian Merino wool.
Based on fashion trends’ increasing concern for ecology, AWI’s 2019/2019 autumn and winter series products are mostly hand-sewn, with smooth tailoring and clear layers, and details such as hemming are also completed by hand.
