Xi’an Polytechnic University Textile and Clothing Museum was completed
After more than a year of construction, the exhibition work of the Textile and Clothing Museum of Xi’an Polytechnic University has been basically completed. It recently accepted an on-site inspection by the Ministry of Education’s undergraduate teaching level evaluation expert group and became a part of Xi’an Polytechnic University to showcase its image. The Textile and Clothing Museum of Xi’an Polytechnic University covers an area of about 800 square meters, and has currently collected more than 1,000 pieces (sets) of exhibits. The museum is divided into three exhibition areas, namely the Textile Hall, the Western Ethnic Folk Clothing Hall and the Modern Clothing Hall. The Textile Museum is a base for popularizing textile knowledge among non-professional teachers and students, displaying textile fibers, yarns, fabrics, textile technologies and textile scientific research results developed by the school. The Western Ethnic and Folk Costume Museum focuses on the collection, collection and arrangement of ethnic and folk costumes in the northwest region. Currently, it mainly displays traditional costumes of Tibetan, Uyghur, Kazakh, Mongolian, Tu, Yugur and other ethnic minorities. The Modern Clothing Museum mainly displays the outstanding works of Xi’an Polytechnic University’s previous clothing design competitions since the clothing major was established in 1984, as well as the outstanding achievements in the development of modern clothing technology. It also collects the works of some outstanding alumni, such as my country’s famous fashion designers Liang Zi and Gu The works of Yi and others were also displayed; in addition, a special display was made on the development process of Chinese military uniforms.
Textiles and clothing are the distinctive majors and disciplines of Xi’an Polytechnic University and have a certain influence across the country.
