Xingtai Nonwoven develops parachute fabric
Zhao Feng, chief engineer of Jinjiang Xingtai Nonwoven Products Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xingtai Nonwoven), is working with workers to debug the recently installed spunlace nonwoven production line. This is the second spunlace production line launched by Xingtai Company, and it is also one of the only five spunlace production lines in the non-woven industry in Fujian Province. Zhao Feng said that as one of the largest nonwoven products manufacturers in Fujian Province, facing declining industry profits, Xingtai Nonwovens began to turn its attention to the high-end product market.
Rising crude oil drives up costs
Shi Zhongqiu, director of Xingtai Nonwovens, said that with the influx of more and more companies and the rise in raw material prices , the non-woven industry has entered an era of low profits.
“In the first half of this year, due to the sharp increase in the price of some raw materials by 30% to 50% and the tight supply, domestic spunlace nonwovens manufacturers were severely affected. Although the company’s orders were full, the product profits were low and some Some are even operating at a loss.” At the non-woven industry annual meeting held not long ago, Guo Hexin, honorary president of the Non-Woven Association, analyzed the current non-woven industry.
“The price of international crude oil has risen rapidly recently, and a new round of price increases for various chemical raw materials will soon come.” Zhao Feng said.
Compared with the fierce competition in the middle and low-end markets, the demand in the high-end market is becoming more and more rapid. With the increasing popularity of hygienic cosmetics and home decoration products such as facial masks, wet napkins, and car decorations in China, the demand for high-end non-woven products is also increasing.
“With the continuous compression of industry profits, it is particularly important to further process products, develop high-end products, and improve technology content and added value.” Zhao Feng said.
Integrating industry, academia and research to increase added value
Shi Zhongqiu said that after the second spunlace production line is put into operation, the company’s annual production capacity will reach 20,000 tons, of which High-grade spunlace non-woven fabrics will account for a considerable part.
In addition to introducing advanced production lines, Xingtai Nonwovens also actively seeks technology research and development cooperation with scientific research institutions. It is understood that the flash non-woven production line project of Xingtai Nonwovens and South China University of Technology is also in progress, and the research and development focus is also aimed at high-tech and high value-added non-woven products such as military tents and parachutes. At the same time, the company’s independent research and development results “micro-fine spunlace nonwovens and their production methods” have also applied for national patents and have entered the public review stage.
“With the continuous innovation and development of non-woven technology, the application range of non-woven products is becoming wider and wider. However, only by relying on technological innovation to continuously develop new high value-added products can enterprises continue to occupy the market. Magic weapon.” Zhao Feng thought. (AA
