Coatings will lead the trend of printing and dyeing industry in the future
In recent years, my country’s printing and dyeing industry has developed rapidly and achieved gratifying results, with great improvements in scale, output, and sales revenue. According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, the output of printed and dyed fabrics above designated size in 2006 was 43.030 billion meters, the total industrial output value of printing and dyeing enterprises was 167.500 billion yuan, the total profit was 5.372 billion yuan, and the sales profit margin was 3.34%.
However, the printing and dyeing industry is a resource-dependent and environmentally sensitive industry. As the environmental and resource crises become increasingly serious. Its development is subject to increasing constraints. Therefore, independent innovation in the printing and dyeing industry must focus on clean production, energy conservation and consumption reduction. This is not only conducive to the development of the industry itself, but is also of great significance to my country’s construction of a resource-saving and environment-friendly society.
As environmental protection policies become more stringent and people’s ecological awareness gradually strengthens, the importance of cleaner production technology is obvious. Cleaner production is an important means to develop circular economy. For textile printing and dyeing enterprises, it is the main content of implementing circular economy. The significance of cleaner production is to: 1) improve energy efficiency, develop cleaner technologies, update and replace environmentally harmful products, raw materials and auxiliary materials, and achieve the protection and effective management of the environment and resources; 2) an effective means to control environmental pollution. Traditional end-of-line treatment is expensive and requires full process control, which fundamentally changes the pollution control path of “pollution first and treatment later”. It not only reduces the generation of pollutants, but also reduces the construction investment and operating costs of treatment facilities, which is easy for enterprises. Accepted; 3) Improve the management level of the enterprise. Energy saving, consumption reduction and emission reduction can thereby reduce production costs and improve corporate economic benefits. At the same time, it can change the corporate image and improve market competitiveness.
Paint printing and dyeing technology is a sustainable and clean production technology, and it is a key development project promoted by the government. Compared with dyes, coatings have significant energy saving and environmental protection advantages, and have broad application prospects. According to Stork, coatings account for 53% of printed textiles, with reactive dyes and disperse dyes accounting for 27% and 15% respectively. BASF predicts that textile pigment printing will increase to 15 billion square meters in 2012. In addition to traditional paint printing, the application of paint in dyeing and inkjet printing inks has been developing rapidly, overcoming many problems of traditional dye processes and exerting greater advantages.
