In January 2005, Xinjiang Youngor Cotton Textile Co., Ltd. was registered and established. This company, invested and established by Ningbo Youngor Rizhong Textile Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Yinzhou Sheng’an Knitting Factory, initially owned 112,000 combed spindles. Two years later, the company’s cotton spinning spindles exceeded 200,000, including 33,000 compact spinning spindles and 7,000 compact siro spinning spindles.
Talking about the company’s expansion of compact spinning spindles, Xu Zhiwu said that the main reason is market demand. As early as 2005, when the company was founded, customers already showed demand for compact spinning, and Xinjiang Youngor’s parent company, Youngor Group, itself had great demand for special yarn counts. Therefore, at the end of 2005, Xinjiang Youngor introduced German Suessen compact spinning equipment.
“At that time, the complete machines of the warp and weft spinning machines were purchased in batches, totaling 20,000 spindles.” Xu Zhiwu recalled that the products of Germany’s Suessen were matched with this batch of complete machines.
In fact, Xinjiang Youngor also conducted research on the domestic market before introducing this batch of compact spinning equipment. However, due to the earlier time, more mature products have not yet been launched in China, and foreign compact spinning equipment can be said to be the company’s only choice at that time. However, what is quite gratifying is that only 8 months later, this situation has changed.
In early 2006, Huafang New Technology Research Co., Ltd. made preliminary contact with Xinjiang Youngor Cotton Textile Co., Ltd. Huafang modified two prototype machines in Youngor, Xinjiang, to trial produce some compact yarns. The result was that “the two had similar effects,” Xu Zhiwu said, so the company decided to try it on this domestic device. During this process, Chinese scientific and technical personnel and Xinjiang Youngor technical personnel continued to communicate on the production situation, striving to optimize the effect of the device. Finally, through improvements in parts, processes, etc., Huafang’s compact spinning equipment has well adapted to the production requirements of Xinjiang Youngor Company. The company finally purchased more than 10,000 spindles of Huafang compact spinning equipment and produced them in the same workshop as Suesen compact spinning equipment.
Producing in the same workshop actually makes it easier for Xinjiang Youngor to compare two types of equipment at home and abroad. “There is not much difference in the quality of the yarn produced, which can be solved through spinning technology. However, the cost of domestic equipment is low, and there is a cost-effectiveness issue.” Xu Zhiwu said. In his opinion, Huafang compact spinning equipment, as a domestic equipment, has a competitive advantage in terms of cost performance.
This evaluation is hard-earned. Among the production equipment currently owned by Xinjiang Youngor, the pre-spinning equipment such as blowing and carding machines, combing machines, and draw frames are from Rieter, Switzerland; the roving frame and spinning frame are from Taihang and Jingwei respectively, and the drafting system of key parts is replaced by imported components. , the automatic winding machine is an ORION-M product from Italy’s SAVIO company and a 7-VFF product from Japan’s Murata company. The configuration of these devices itself has profound meaning.
Xinjiang Youngor currently has no plans to expand compact spinning. “But once we decide to expand the spindles, we will focus on compact spinning and supplemented by ring spinning.” Xu Zhiwu said. He believes that the replacement of ring spinning by compact spinning is the future development trend of spinning technology. On the one hand, the market demand for compact spinning yarn is increasing, and on the other hand, the maturity of compact spinning equipment manufacturing technology has reduced production costs. . Regarding how to increase the company’s compact spinning scale in the future, he said that both new additions and modifications are possible. But no matter which form, he will consider the following two factors: one is the matching with the host, and the other is the cost-effectiveness of the device.
