With the goal of building a new cocoon silk weaving city in western China, Mengshan County in Guangxi is actively exploring higher-quality cocoon and silk production projects and officially put them into operation in August this year. The operational Xiangyun yarn project is progressing steadily and has entered the normal production and operation track.
On October 19, at Guangxi Huahong Silk Home Textile Technology Co., Ltd. in the Mengshan County Silk Industrial Park, workers were taking advantage of the fine weather to dye and finish Xiangyun yarn, dry it, spread fog, roll the silk, and check the whole code feet, and finally the finished product is put into storage. The person in charge here told reporters that they are currently taking advantage of the current fine weather to speed up production, because Xiangyun yarn is a thing that combines nature and man, and making it depends on God’s face and the manufacturer’s intentions.
Guangxi Huahong Silk Home Textile Technology Co., Ltd. is the first company in Mengshan to introduce and invest in the Xiangyun yarn project. The project is expected to produce about 2 million meters of Xiangyun yarn annually. The project’s commissioning can further attract Xiangyun yarn production and clothing design companies to settle in, increase employment opportunities and increase income.
Mengshan County is also committed to the inheritance and protection of Xiangyun yarn. In promoting the construction of silk art towns, Mengshan County is actively building the Xiangyun yarn project into a collection of standardized display of craftsmanship, cultural dissemination and promotion, cultural experience and study tourism. A comprehensive cultural tourism project integrating cultural and creative derivatives and theme activities.
It is understood that Xiangyun yarn, commonly known as hyacinth yarn, is a silk fabric woven using ancient hand-dyed and finishing techniques.
