Dear leaders and distinguished guests: Hello everyone!
It is my great pleasure to gather with you all at Hangzhou Yishang Town, a new landmark on China’s fashion map. On behalf of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, I would like to extend my warm congratulations on the successful convening of the conference!
As a high degree of condensation of material creation and cultural power, the fashion industry has strong penetration, extensive radiation and profound appeal. It has become a key component of the modern industrial system and promotes high qualityAn important engine for developing and creating high-quality life. From a global perspective, the fashion industry, with the apparel industry as an important component, shows three major development trends.
First, global fashion is becoming technological innovation intensive fashion. Basic research, applied research and development research are promoted in an integrated manner, and industrial collaborative innovation and cross-border integrated innovation have become the norm. Innovative applications of information technology, material technology, production technology, and management science continue to emerge, profoundly changing the factor structure and value composition of the industry, product forms, and industrial ecology.
Second, global fashion is becoming a fashion supported by multiculturalism. “The past is used for the present, the old is used to bring forth the new”, the innovative development and transformation of culture, the enrichment and extension of lifestyles and scenes, are injecting new cultural elements and value connotations into the industry. Especially with the blessing of digital technology, traditional excellent cultures such as Dunhuang culture and Forbidden City culture collide and integrate with modern trends to form new fashion expressions.
Third, global fashion is becoming responsible and sustainable fashion. Sustainable and balanced development of society, economy, and ecology has become the general trend of global industrial development. Concepts such as zero waste, low energy consumption and low pollution, renewable and biodegradable, extended life cycle, fairness and justice are being integrated into the industrial production system, circulation system and consumption system, becoming an important direction of fashion.
Currently, our country is embarking on a new journey to comprehensively build a modern socialist country. Based on the new development stage, China’s textile industry has established a new positioning, that is, “a pillar industry for national economy and social development, a basic industry for solving people’s livelihood and beautifying life, and a dominant industry for international cooperation and integrated development.” Accelerating the construction of a fashion ecology with Chinese characteristics, world influence, and characteristics of the times is an inevitable requirement and due meaning for the high-quality development of the industry. To seize the opportunity and gain the initiative in the global fashion economic trend, the industry needs to be supported by fashion technology and systematically promote high-quality development of the industry. Here, I would like to raise three expectations.
First, take innovation as the core driving force to build a high-quality fashion supply system.
Promote the upgrading of the industrial foundation and the modernization of the industrial chain, consolidate the advantages of scale and system, and accelerate the formation of an innovation-driven and data-driven flexible supply system. Improve product supply and use material innovation, process innovation, and design innovation to better match the diversified and flexible needs of the market. Improve new infrastructure, guide enterprises to “go to the cloud, use data, and empower intelligence”, and promote collaboration, integration, and innovation across the entire industry chain and innovation chain. Comprehensively apply basic technologies such as AI and VR to drive the optimization and reengineering of process processes, product innovation, and business models. Develop new service-oriented manufacturing models such as large-scale personalized customization.
The second is to use domestic demand as the strategic basis to cultivate a high-quality fashion consumer market.
Mobile and ubiquitous networks have broken the limitations of time and space, and the digital economy is promoting greater market integration. We must follow the trend, take “masters, big names, and big events” as the starting point, and use the power of modern technology to promote the integration and transformation of traditional national culture, modern trend culture and other resources and industrial values, so that they can be systematically presented in colors, patterns, etc. , fabric and style. Continuously improve creative design capabilities and trend research capabilities, and enhance cultural confidence and market recognition. Develop new models of live broadcaste-commerce and social e-commerce, expand new markets for cross-border e-commerce and rural e-commerce, create new scenario-based social commerce formats, and realize the extension of market space and expansion. Smooth internal and external market circulation and promote a high degree of unity between economies of scope and economies of scale.
The third is to take responsibility as the fundamental principle and create a sustainable industrial value ecosystem.
Focusing on the “double carbon” goal, the China National Textile and Apparel Industry Federation has launched the “Chinese Fashion Brand Climate Innovation Carbon Neutral Acceleration Plan” to select 30 key brand companies, 60 manufacturing companies and a group of keyIndustrial clustersCarry out carbon neutral pilot demonstrations to accelerate the establishment of a green, low-carbon recycling fashion industry system. The fashion industry represented by the textile and apparel industry must…What we learned is: to integrate the concept of sustainable development into all aspects of the industry, such as R&D and design, production and circulation, consumer care, recycling, etc., to promote the green management of the entire life cycle of products; to promote flexible production, green consumption and other models to realize the utilization of resources. Extensive coordination and efficient utilization will promote the coordinated progress of economic and social development and ecological protection; actively connect with the carbon trading market and make full use of green financial tools to support the green transformation of industries; use digital technology to enrich operable and calculable carbon emission reduction management analysis tools. Establish a sustainable fashion traceability system and promote the transparency and greenness of the supply chain.
Benefiting from the development trend of fashion, industrial Internet, new materials and cross-border e-commerce in Hangzhou Linping New City, as well as the blessing of industry public services and fashion technology resources, Art Fashion Town has risen rapidly in the integration and excitement of digital economy and fashion economy, accelerating its progress towards a world-class fashion town. The success of the town is an excellent practice of open innovation-driven regional development and a successful case of fashion technology empowering industrial development. This fashion technology conference is held here. It should be said that it is based on the starting point of success and exploring greater success.
