EU issues consumer warning on Chinese-made “Sunsea” brand children’s sports suits
On February 3, 2012, the European Commission’s non-food rapid warning system issued a consumer warning on the Chinese-made “Sunsea” brand children’s sports suits. The notifying country in this case is Hungary. The gray children’s sports suit reported this time includes a hooded sweatshirt and a pair of sweatpants; the size is 116-122; the style/model is CH-010; the sweatshirt has the words “RADVENTUREDIVISION42” printed on it, and the sweatpants have Printed with “ADVENTURE42”.
Since the hood of this sweatshirt is equipped with a drawstring, it poses a suffocation hazard to children and does not comply with the EU EN14682 standard.
At present, the Hungarian competent authorities have taken measures to withdraw the product from the market and recall it.
To this end, it is recommended that relevant domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this.
