Some textile exports to Taiwan enjoy zero tariffs
It was learned from the China National Textile and Apparel Council that starting from January 1, 2012, the second phase of tax reduction for products under the early harvest of the “Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement” (referred to as ECFA) will be launched.
For textile products exported from the mainland to Taiwan, nearly 70% of early-harvest textile products with original tax rates of 7.5% and below can enjoy zero tariffs. Mainland China has made full use of the preferential policies of origin for Taiwanese companies to further expand Taiwan-related trade.
