Textile and clothing export situation ()
In January 2012, my country’s exports of textile yarns and fabrics were US$7.676 billion, and exports of clothing and clothing accessories were US$13.842 billion, an increase of -7.5% and 2.9% respectively compared with December. The growth rates of textile and clothing exports both dropped to single number of digits. In January, textile and apparel exports were US$21.52 billion, down 0.5%. Among them, textile exports fell by 6.8%, and clothing exports continued to grow, with an increase of 3.5%, despite a high year-on-year base.
