Vietnam decides to significantly increase textile exports
The Vietnam Textile Association recently stated that although there are still many hidden challenges in the international economy, Vietnam’s textile and garment export target is US$15 billion in 2012, an increase of 12% compared with 2011.
In 2011, despite high inflation, Vietnam’s main export markets for textiles and garments still grew significantly, with a trade surplus of US$6.5 billion, an increase of US$1.5 billion compared with 2010. The Vietnam Textile Association believes that the growth of Vietnam’s textile and garment exports mainly lies in correct market forecasts, effective investment and product recognition by customers.
