EU issues consumer warning on Chinese-made “Fashion Girl” brand children’s sweatshirts
On March 2, 2012, the European Commission’s non-food rapid warning system issued a consumer warning on Chinese-made “FashionGirl” brand children’s sweatshirts. The notifying country in this case is Slovenia. The children’s sweatshirt notified this time is suitable for children aged 7 to 8 years old. The hood is equipped with a drawstring; the style/model is No. LL-8137.
The drawstring on the hood of this sweatshirt poses a suffocation hazard to children and does not comply with the relevant EU standard EN14682.
Currently, distributors have taken measures to voluntarily withdraw this product from the market.
To this end, it is recommended that relevant domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this.
